A Thief in Paradise


A Thief in Paradise is a 1925 American silent film, produced by Samuel Goldwyn, directed by George Fitzmaurice, and adapted by Frances Marion from Leonard Merricks novel The Worldlings 1900. The film is now considered a lost film.

His mistress, Rosa Carmino, has a letter from Jardines wealthy father, urging him to return to San Francisco. Since the elder Jardine has never seen his grown son, Carmino convinces Blake to go in his place. Blake is welcomed into the Jardine household and falls in love with Helen Saville, the daughter of a neighbor. The couple marries, but on their wedding night, the jealous Carmino tells Helen that she is Blakes mistress.
